Enter the number printed on the label of your airbag module and we will show you the correct service and price.
After a collision, the airbag control module can store crash data. Even after damaged airbags or seat belts have been replaced, the warning light may remain on because the crash information is still stored inside the module.
This is where an airbag module reset may be required.
The same unit may also be described as the SRS module, airbag ECU, airbag control unit or airbag computer.
Three steps
Search the part number, or send a photo. Drop the module at the workshop or post it. We reset it and you collect it or we send it back.
Search using the part number printed on the label. Can't find it? Send us a photo and we will identify it for you.
Order the reset online and send only the airbag module to our workshop using a tracked service.
We clear the stored crash data, test the module and send it back to you. Most modules received in the morning are completed the same day.
These are the usual reasons people get in touch after a collision.
When airbags or seat-belt pretensioners deploy, collision information can be stored inside the airbag control module.
Replacing the damaged parts doesn't necessarily remove the crash data stored inside the module.
If your garage has scanned the vehicle and found stored crash data in the SRS control unit, the module may require resetting.
Before buying another module, send us your original unit's part number. In many cases the original module can be reset and reused.
The workshop is here. Once the module is removed, you can drop it off by arrangement, or send it with a tracked postal service if that is easier for the garage. Only the module needs to move. The car stays on the ramp or on the drive.
Because the workshop is in Manchester, you can also arrange drop-off, or book an on-site crash data reset visit across Greater Manchester. On-site visits start from £75.
You or your garage removes the module from the vehicle.
Post it to our workshop.
Crash data is cleared and the unit is tested.
Your original module is sent back ready to be refitted.
We take modules from Manchester, Salford, Stockport, Bolton, Oldham, Rochdale, Bury, Trafford and the surrounding towns. Independent garages across Greater Manchester send units in during the week and get them back ready to refit. If you would rather not post, ask about drop-off or an on-site visit.
Local bodyshops and independents already use us as their crash-data bench. Drop modules in, post them, or book a visit when the car cannot wait. Trade accounts get the public list discount and a portal once you are set up.
We reset crash data from airbag modules fitted to most cars, vans and motorhomes. Open a brand to match the module on your vehicle.
We support thousands of airbag module part numbers across cars, vans and motorhomes. If your manufacturer or module isn't listed, send us a photo of the label. You can also browse every brand we cover.
Your airbag module will normally have a manufacturer label containing several numbers. The part number may look something like 5Q0 959 655, 0285012345 or 8K0 959 655. Enter the number into our search. Can't work out which number it is? Photograph the whole label and send it to us on WhatsApp.

Most standard airbag module resets are £35. If your module requires a different service, we'll show you the price before you order.
Not sure which price applies? Send us a photo first and we will confirm it before you order.

Often yes. If the airbag control module itself is undamaged and only holds crash data, we can clear that stored crash record so the original module can be refitted. WhatsApp a photo of the label and we will confirm before you post.
Not necessarily. Dealers often quote a new unit. If your existing module contains crash data and the hardware is sound, a crash data reset of the original module is usually enough. Send us the part number or a photo before you buy a replacement.
If deployed airbags, seat belts and other physical SRS faults have already been repaired, and the remaining problem is stored crash data, resetting the module is what lets the warning light clear. If wiring or hardware faults are still present, the light can stay on.
It is printed on the sticker on the module. It might look like 5Q0 959 655, 0285012345 or 8K0 959 655. Search it in the box above, or WhatsApp a clear photo of the whole label and we will identify it.
No. Send only the airbag module. Your garage keeps the vehicle, removes the module, and refits it when it comes back.
Yes. Garages and bodyshops in Manchester and the surrounding area can remove the module, post it to us, and we send it back to the workshop ready to refit. Trade accounts are available if you send modules regularly.
Most cars just need the original module refitted after a crash data reset. Some vehicles still need a garage scan tool to clear remaining lights. We will say if that is likely when we see the label.
For most modules, if we receive it in the morning, we complete the crash data reset and send it back the same day.
If we inspect the module and cannot complete the reset, we refund the reset fee. Outbound postage you paid to send it is usually not refundable.
Yes. That is the easiest way if you are not sure. WhatsApp a clear photo of the whole label and we will tell you whether we can reset it, which service you need, the price, and where to send it.
Yes. Call or WhatsApp first so we know it is coming. Bring the module only, not the car, unless you have booked an on-site visit. Same-day turnaround still depends on a morning arrival.
