When a motorhome airbag light will not clear

Motorhome owners often sit between a dealer quote for a new ECU and a garage that can read the code but cannot clear the module. The dash may show a plain airbag light, an SRS message, or a specific code such as B0100-49. The van or coachbuilt can be otherwise fine.

We handle motorhome modules by post every week from Universal Square, Devonshire St N, Manchester M12 6JH. You do not need to drive a six-metre van to Manchester. The garage keeps the vehicle; only the airbag ECU travels.

Motorhome-specific causes we see

B0100-49 is the headline fault on Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, and Citroën Relay based motorhomes. It is an internal SRS / airbag module error that dealer paths often answer with a new ECU. When the hardware is sound, a specialist reset of your existing module is the practical fix. Full write-up: B0100-49 reset.

Other motorhome lights follow the same patterns as cars and vans: stored crash data after a bump or deployment, and module locks after battery, leisure-battery, or charging work. The chassis make matters for the part number, not for whether a postal clear can help.

  • B0100-49 internal error on Ducato / Relay / Boxer motorhomes
  • Crash data locks after a bump or airbag deployment
  • Airbag light after battery or leisure battery work
  • Other motorhome and van SRS modules confirmed from the label

How we help motorhome owners

Photograph the full ECU label, note the chassis (Ducato / Relay / Boxer) if you know it, and order the matching motorhome airbag reset. Post the module to Manchester. We clear the fault or crash data, test the unit, and return it ready to fit. For most modules, if we receive it in the morning, we complete the crash data reset and send it back the same day.

Tips for motorhome owners

  • Note chassis make (Ducato / Relay / Boxer) and conversion brand if you know it
  • Send the full part number sticker, not only the fault code
  • Ask your garage to leave brackets on the vehicle unless we request them
  • Choose tracked return shipping at checkout for a clear delivery trail

Motorhome airbag light FAQs

Why is my motorhome airbag light on?

Common causes include stored crash data after a bump, battery or leisure-battery / charging issues, and the well-known B0100-49 internal error on Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, and Citroën Relay based motorhomes. A module reset often clears it when the ECU is the locked part.

What is B0100-49 on a motorhome?

B0100-49 is a common airbag / SRS internal error on Ducato-family chassis. When the fault is held in the module, we clear it with a fixed-price postal reset at £65. See our B0100-49 page for the full write-up.

How much is a motorhome airbag light reset?

Motorhome B0100-49 is a fixed £65. Other motorhome and van modules usually follow our standard £35 or complex £46 band. We confirm from the part number or a label photo.

Do you only do Ducato family motorhomes?

No. We reset airbag modules across cars, vans, and motorhomes. The Ducato / Relay / Boxer B0100-49 fault is simply one we see often enough to publish a fixed price and a dedicated page.

Can I post a motorhome airbag module from anywhere in the UK?

Yes. UK-wide postal service from our Manchester workshop at Universal Square, Devonshire St N, Manchester M12 6JH. Your garage keeps the motorhome; only the ECU travels.

How fast is the turnaround?

For most modules, if we receive it in the morning, we complete the crash data reset and send it back the same day.
