Posted my BMW airbag module on Monday and had it back Wednesday. Clear emails the whole way and the airbag light went straight out.

B0100-49
Airbag fault.
Internal SRS error on Ducato, Relay, and Boxer motorhomes. What the code means, when a reset helps, and how postal clear works.
B0100-49 explained in plain English
If a scan tool shows B0100-49 on a Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, or Citroën Relay based motorhome or van, you are looking at an internal airbag / SRS module fault. It is common enough that owners and converters recognise the number, and common enough that dealers often jump straight to a replacement ECU quote.
The code does not automatically mean the circuit board is dead. In many cases the fault is held in the module in a way a specialist reset can clear, so your original ECU goes back in without dealer coding on a brand-new unit. That is the job we do at Universal Square, Devonshire St N, Manchester M12 6JH.
Why B0100-49 appears, and when a reset helps
On Ducato-family chassis the airbag control module can log B0100-49 as an internal error. Owners notice it after electrical work, battery events, or sometimes with no obvious trigger. The light stays on, MOT fails, and the conversion or hire season is stuck until the restraint system is happy again.
A reset helps when the module hardware is sound and the fault is clearable. It will not help if a sensor, squib, connector, or loom is still failing on the vehicle. That is why we ask for a label photo and any scan notes before you post. If the odds look poor, we say so.
- Fiat Ducato based motorhomes and vans
- Peugeot Boxer based motorhomes and vans
- Citroën Relay based motorhomes and vans
- Conversions built on those chassis with the same SRS module family
Always confirm from the ECU label. Two vans can share a chassis name and still use different modules. Broader motorhome context: motorhome airbag light.

B0100-49 FAQs
What is B0100-49?
B0100-49 is a common airbag / SRS internal error on Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, and Citroën Relay based motorhomes and vans. It often points to a module-side fault that a specialist reset can clear when the hardware itself is sound.
Does B0100-49 mean I need a new airbag module?
Dealers often quote a new ECU. That is not always necessary. If the module is intact and the fault is held in software / memory, a specialist reset of your existing unit is usually the cheaper, faster route. We will be honest if a photo or notes suggest otherwise.
How much is a B0100-49 reset?
Our fixed public price for motorhome B0100-49 is £65 all-in for the reset service. Other motorhome modules usually follow our £35 or £46 bands. Return shipping is chosen separately at checkout.
Will a B0100-49 reset always work?
When the fault is held in the module, a reset is usually the right fix. If wiring, sensors, or connectors are still failing, the code can return. Send a label photo and any scan notes and we will be honest about the odds before you post.
Do I need the whole motorhome at a dealer?
No. You (or your garage) remove the airbag module and post only that ECU. We reset it in Manchester and return it ready to fit. The motorhome stays where it is.
How quickly can you turn B0100-49 around?
For most modules, if we receive it in the morning, we complete the crash data reset and send it back the same day.
